More About Me...

I was born in Preston, Lancashire - though I've lived in Worcestershire for over twenty years now, excepting a short period in County Durham.

Charity Work

As you might notice from some of the pictures on this site, I'm a keen walker and have done a number of long distance walks for charity. Down the years I've raised a little under £10,000 for local charities including Maggs Day Centre for the Homeless in Worcester, and Acorns Children's Hospice.

Hobbies & Family

When I'm not walking, I love reading and studying. As a farmer's son, it's perhaps no surprise to hear that I'm a big animal lover. Down the years, I've had quite a menagerie - three cats, at least twenty rescue hens, and two dogs - Jim (left) being my first and favourite.

I'm also a proud dad, father to a beautiful baby boy - William.

Training and Range of Services

I received my initial training as a funeral minister whilst I was living in the North East fifteen years ago where I was also trained in pastoral care of those who have lost loved ones. But the initial training is only part of it; this is a role you learn best by doing - and I've learned an enormous amount in the course of leading the 400 or so funerals that I've taken down the years.

But I don't just do funerals. As a Civil Celebrant, I also take other types of service too - most notably "Naming Day" services, helping families celebrate the life of their newborn babies as an alternative to the more traditional Christening service. (Image (C) Jo Jeffree Photography)

Where I Work

I mainly operate across Worcestershire and the surrounding area, taking funerals as far afield as Leamington Spa, Wyre Forest, Hereford, Cheltenham and Redditch. For a small additional fee I'm happy to travel further afield.
